Trudy
Byrd
Mar 10, 1949 — Jun 25, 2026
Taylorsville
Trudy Byrd, age 77, of Taylorsville, MS was called to her heavenly home to rest in the arms of the Lord on June 25, 2026.
She was loved by all that knew her. Ms. Trudy was a woman of her word; you always knew where you stood with her. She was a woman filled with life and so much love for her family. She had a smile that would light up the room, and you couldn’t help but love her.
Ms. Trudy was known by many and loved by all. She was a respected citizen of Taylorsville. She was proud of her yard and because of the pride that she took in it, she often received yard of the month. When she was able, she worked in her yard from daylight until dark. She was such a joy and brought joy to many by the things that she said, oftentimes keeping you laughing for a long time. Ms. Trudy will be missed by all.
She is preceded in her passing by her mother, Monette Moore; her loving husband, and soulmate Jimmy Byrd; her uncle, J.D. Neal and cousin, Roger Dale Boykin.
Those left to cherish her memory include her three loving children, Penny Pridgen (Billy Austin), Stacey Pridgen and Kim Hill; her two grandchildren, Skylar Dayton Pridgen (Angel) and Zoyee Anna Hill (Aaron Thomas); her three great-grandchildren, Mia Pridgen Smith, Alivin Pridgen and Mavis Pridgen; her brother, Leon; her sister and brother-in-law, Shelia and Sam; her aunt, Grace Boykin; cousin, Beth Boykin and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Family would like to express a very heartfelt thanks to the pastors that came and prayed with us during this time, Brother Frankie Clark, Brother Travis Uptigrove and Brother Matt Olsen. Thank you to Stan Parnell who couldn’t be here in person but wanted to pray with the family from Alabama. We want to give a special thanks to a few special friends, Stan and Lucy (Crocker) Parnell, The Deaconess Hospice Nurses: Stacey Hill, Whitney Gray and Amanda Hensarling; Ricki and Crissy Chadwick, Lidia Kelly and so many others. There are too many to name, but many have prayed, called, texted and thought of us during this very difficult time and to that we say thank you!
Funeral Services are scheduled for Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at Musgrove Funeral Home, which is located at 15823 Highway 37, in Taylorsville, MS.
